Welcome and thank you for your interest in CS 50.11C. After creating your first website in CS 50.11A/B are you ready to create a site that is attractive, easy to use, and developed within a responsive design framework? Then this course is a perfect "next step".
This course dives deeply into CSS3 and introduces students to Bootstrap 3.0. You will hand code sample files, use Bootstrap to create an online portfolio from a template, and then modify the template CSS to reflect your design aesthetic. The web is moving to front-end development tools and Bootstrap is leading the way. Our goal is to equip student with the skills they need to not only use Bootstrap but to control it so that it has the unique look clients are asking for. The course will also allow you to visit a site you admire, pull up the CSS and analyze what the code is doing, line by line.
Listed below is a video overview of the course, examples of former students portfolios, and videos and biographies of students who have taken this class and several otheres to become certified in Web Development. We hope to see you in class next semester.
