New Computer Studies (CS) Course Numbers
Courses in the Computer Studies department are placed in one of six categories. The numbering system is designed so that you can tell which category a class is in based on the tens digit of the course number. The courses are divided up as follows:
- 01 - 09 (and 100 - 109): Computer Basics
- 10 - 19 (and 110 - 119): Computer Science & Programming

- 53.X (and 153.X): Development Tools (e.g. Dreamweaver)
- 55.X (and 155.X): Web Programming

60 - 69 (and 160 - 169, and 260 - 269): Office Applications
- 60.X (and 160.X): Word Processing
- 61.X (and 161.X): Spreadsheets
- 62.X (and 162.X): Presentation (e.g. PowerPoint)
- 63.X (and 163.X): Databases (e.g. Access)
- 65.X (and 165.X): Survey Courses
- 66.X (and 166.X, and 266.X): Office Applications Foundations
