New Computer Studies (CS) Course Numbers
The Computer Studies department, previously the Computer and Information Sciences department, is in the process of renumbering its courses.
All the courses that previously had a CIS prefix, for example CIS101A, will have a CS prefix AND, in most cases, a new number.
In addition, office applications courses that were previously in the BOT department are moving to the Computer Studies department. They will start with the CS prefix as well.
This process will be completed in Spring 2010. This means that some courses will have their "old" numbers for Fall 2009, while some will have their new numbers.
We appreciate that this may be confusing, and we appreciate your patience during the transition. In order to assist you in finding the course that you want, we have provided the following tables listing each course with its old number and its new number:
When planning your schedule of Computer Studies courses for Fall 2009 we strongly recommend that you use the pdf version of the electronic schedule rather than the interactive search version. In the interactive search version our courses are spread out among three different headings (BOT, CIS, and CS).
