SPRING 2009 SRJC AGRICULTURE AMBASSADORS

The Agriculture Ambassadors have
been one of the most active student organizations on the Santa Rosa
Junior College campus. The student organization is one of the oldest
student associations started as the "Aggie Club" in 1969. The "Aggie
Club" changed their name to "Agriculture Ambassadors" in 1998 to
reflect the leadership and outreach roles of the organization.
The Santa Rosa Junior College Agriculture Ambassadors participate in
statewide and national agriculture ambassador conferences and
leadership contests. Their major local outreach activities center on
an Agriculture Literacy Program for K-12 classes throughout Sonoma
County. They annually host the SRJC Agri-Expo (for Sonoma County
high school agriculture students) and the SRJC Kid's Day on the Farm
(for Sonoma County elementary students).
