Specialty and Ethnic Cooking

Urgent message:
 
Due to the ongoing economic crisis, SRJC has had to reduce the number of classes being offered for the Spring 2010 semester. For the Culinary Arts Department, these cuts have dramatically reduced the number of Ethnic and Specialty classes and have caused the cancellation of the following Restaurant Management Certificate classes:
 
CUL 256.10 Restaurant Operations
CUL 256.8 Beverage Management
CUL 256.9 Intro to Restaurant Wine
 
In the event that the economic situation improves, there may be classes added back into the schedule.
Be sure to check the online schedule on a regular basis to see if these classes have been reinstated.

 


The Culinary Arts program offers a wide variety of courses intended for the aspiring cook. These courses range from 0.5 - 2.0 units and are offered on evenings and weekends. Most of these courses are intended for the beginning cook, but are also appropriate for more advanced cooks. See the current list of classes online.
