Food & Wine Fridays

Experience food and wine pairings while you're enjoying a luncheon prepared by students from SRJC's Culinary Café. These two hour sessions are designed to introduce participants to a variety of dishes made with fresh (and primarily Sonoma County) ingredients, and the role that wine plays in Sonoma County cuisine. A three-course lunch will be served with a tasting of three Sonoma County wines while students and instructors in the Culinary Arts Program discuss the recipes, the wines, and the principles behind the pairings. Each luncheon begins promptly at 12:30 PM and ends by 2:30 PM. Registration fee of $35 is all inclusive. Enrollment is limited to 24 people per luncheon.

Presenters: Chef Michael Salinger, Betsy Fischer, Chef Cathy Burgett.
Betsy Fischer is a certified wine educator. She is coordinator of the Front House Operations and Restaurant Management Certificates in SRJC's Culinary Arts Program. Chef Michael Salinger is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy and the instructor/coordinator of SRJC's Culinary Arts Program. Cathy Burgett is a graduate of the École de Cuisine La Varenne in Paris and instructor/coordinator of the SRJC Bakery and Pastry program.

All sessions are held at SRJC's Culinary Café at 458 B Street in downtown Santa Rosa. Parking is available in the 7th Street parking garage. Advance registration required. To register call the SRJC Community Education Office at (527-4372).

You must be 21 years of age to attend.
