Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does my company have to send a representative to an ETP Orientation and fill out a lot of paperwork?
No. You do not have to send a representative to an ETP Orientation. SRJC does most of the paperwork with the state. You have very little direct contact with ETP. We assist you with the paperwork that enrolls your employees in the program.

2. Does my company have to sign a contract with the state, ETP or SRJC?
SRJC helps your company qualify through a simple paperwork process. Once qualified, your only agreement is with SRJC. The agreement outlines the scope and responsibilities of SRJC and your company.

3. So what kind of paperwork does SRJC require?
Once all the courses are scheduled, each employee must be enrolled in the program, which requires employment information and a social security number. Once the employee begins attending training sessions they must sign the daily roster.

4. Can we do this training after hours, on Saturdays or in the evenings?
All ETP training can be scheduled any time, but must take place during paid time. Some companies flex their employees' hours, earlier or later than regular hours, in order to minimize the impact on the company's operation.

5. What if I have employees who can't commit to the required 40 hours. Can they attend some of the classes along with the employees enrolled in the full 40 hour ETP program?
If a scheduled class has vacant seats (fewer than 20 trainees are enrolled), other employees of the company may attend with permission of SRJC.
