Work Experience Collage

WELCOME

The Work Experience classes at Santa Rosa Junior College connect college education to the workplace. The classes focus on learning and demonstrating 21st century work skills. National and local employers have identified these skills as mandatory to being successful in any type of job. Three of the top skills they have identified include: communication, teamwork, and customer service.

We offer several different courses to provide:

  • College credit
  • 21st Century Work Skills
  • On-the-job career/work experience

Courses:

  • General Work Experience (WRK EX 97) - For students working at a job that is not related to their major or educational goals.
  • Occupational Work Experience (WEOC 99) - For students working at a job that is related to their major or educational goals.
  • Internship (WEOC 99I) - For students who have declared a major, have taken courses in that major, and are ready for on-the-job application of classroom learning in a work environment.
  • Community Involvement - For students volunteering in non-profit agencies, hospitals, schools, and government.
