WELCOME

The Work Experience courses at Santa Rosa Junior College connect college education to the workplace. Earn college credit and improve your work skills.

  • General Work Experience (WRKEX 97) courses are for students working at jobs that are not related to their majors or educational goals. Students earn credit and improve employer required 21st century work skills, such as communication, teamwork, and customer service.

  • Occupational Work Experience (WEOC 99) courses are for students who work at jobs related to their majors or educational goals. Students earn credit and improve employer required 21st century work skills, such as communication, teamwork, and customer service.

  • Internships (WEOC 99I) courses are for students who are ready for on-the-job application of classroom learning in a work environment. Students must have a declared major and have completed related coursework.

  • Community Involvement (CI 51, 53 and 54) courses are self-directed and designed to facilitate experiential learning and service to the community.


STEPS TO ENROLLING IN A WORK EXPERIENCE CLASS

  • Be employed by a properly licensed business
  • SUMMER 2012 - You must have an Add Code before registering through weblink. Call the WE office 527-4329 or come to our office on the 3rd floor of Bertolini.
  • Register for the class through SRJC Weblink
  • Complete the required Employment Information Form
  • Complete Orientation, required of all students at the beginning of the semester. Choices include in-class Orientation (Fall & Spring semesters; see schedule below) OR the Orientation DVD found in the front of your Work Experience Handbook Orientation Information
  • After completing orientation, submit CREDIT FORM found in your handbook or online.
