CTE HIGHLIGHTS
Welcome back to the fall semester. We are very fortunate to have five new CTE faculty join our team this year, as well as a new Administrative Assistant III, Cece Jones, in the Business and Professional Studies Department. More information about these new team members is available in the CTE Welcomes New Faculty/Staff section of this newsletter. Please join me in welcoming these talented individuals.
I was very pleased to introduce many of the new faculty at the most recent CTE PDA Day that approximately 50 faculty and staff attended. The event included a lot of discussion, and some highlights of strategic plan accomplishments, including a commitment from Public Relations to develop a new CTE Web site and the development of new education courses designed to assist industry experts that lack teaching experience who may want to teach in our programs. At the request of faculty, at least one additional flex activity will be scheduled this semester so that we can continue the dialogue on critical issues.
CTE and economic development administrators are very interested in how we can be more involved in advisory committees and external events that help us remain connected to issues facing your program and industry. So that we can best support you, we would appreciate your inviting us to any events now and in the future.
