HEALTH SCIENCES
Graduates of SRJC’s outstanding Health Sciences Department consistently pass their licensing exams with a success rate of nearly 100 percent. Through strong community partnerships, students receive top clinical preparation in local medical facilities and gain a variety of excellent benefits that range from training and scholarships to jobs. Study in SRJC’s Health Sciences Department prepares students to enter a career or to transfer to a four-year college or university.
Your initial training and coursework begin in the state-of-the-art William B. Race Health Sciences Building on the Santa Rosa Campus where you will find dental clinics, nursing skills laboratories, a radiologic technology facility, and lecture rooms with a capacity for distance education.
SRJC offers Free Health Career Information workshops scheduled on the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM. You may also visit the HOPE Center Program (Health Occupations Preparation and Education), which serves as a resource for all individuals interested in pursuing health careers. Each year the HOPE Center assists bilingual SRJC students and high school students who wish to prepare for a health-care career. For more information about HOPE, visit the Health Careers Start Here Today page or call 527-4809.
