Planned Giving

You can support SRJC by arranging for a gift through a trust, bequest, charitable gift annuity, or other planned giving options. Each type of planned gift offers a distinct set of advantages. Some plans provide income for life for a donor or loved one. Others result in an immediate tax deduction or a reduction in capital gains tax.

Membership in the Randolph Newman Legacy Society is offered to all individuals who have established a planned gift or made a provision in their estate plans to benefit Santa Rosa Junior College. The Legacy Society is named for the late Dr. Randolph Newman, second President of Santa Rosa Junior College and legacy benefactor. Dr. Newman's exemplary leadership, dedication, and personal commitment to the college have inspired the SRJC Foundation to establish the society in his honor.

SRJC and the SRJC Foundation endorse the National Committee on Planned Giving’s Model Standards of Practice for the Charitable Gift Planner and require all of its representatives to abide by them. Representatives of the SRJC Foundation use their best judgment to help donors make appropriate planned gifts, but we highly recommend that donors also seek their own counsel in matters relating to planned gifts and tax and estate planning.
