Friends of Petaluma Campus

The mission of the Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation Friends of the Petaluma Campus committee is to support the educational programs of the SRJC Petaluma Campus through promotional activities and direct contributions. The Friends of the Petaluma Campus functions as a special committee of the Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation.

Strong community support plays a vital role in the development of campus life. The Friends of the Petaluma Campus support the effort to increase community awareness and support the Petaluma Campus through activities, collaboration, and direct contributions. All contributions donated through the efforts of the Friends of the Petaluma Campus are managed by the SRJC Foundation, an IRS designated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed to support Santa Rosa Junior College.

If you have visited the Petaluma Campus of Santa Rosa Junior College, you will agree that it is a very special addition to Petaluma and the South County.

In 1999 the Santa Rosa Junior College District approved the designation of the Petaluma Campus - the first additional "campus" designation since the original Santa Rosa Campus opened its doors in 1918. To celebrate this status, the Friends of Petaluma Campus, a volunteer support group has established an endowment fund to enhance the Campus' programs and scholarships.

As a Campus of Santa Rosa Junior College, it follows the tradition of academic excellence through its record of students transferring to four-year colleges or universities to complete their education.

Through partnership with local industry, curriculum is developed to assist in training a workforce to meet the community's needs.

Skills gained from special courses in Business Office Technology prepare and assist students in their job search. Other specialized coursework include web page design to train computer professionals in the most recent technology. An art program taught by exceptional faculty is a highlight of the Petaluma curriculum.
