Bear
Cub Athletic Trust
The Bear Cub Athletic Trust benefits the athletics programs at Santa Rosa Junior College.
The Bear Cub Athletic
Trust is the annual fund-raising program of the Santa Rosa Junior College
Foundation for the SRJC Department of PE/Dance/Athletics. The primary
purpose of the Bear Cub Athletic Trust is to provide funding for athletic
program support in men's and women's intercollegiate sports at Santa
Rosa Junior College.
Athletics play a
key role in the total experience of campus life. Because of our visibility,
athletics serves as a rallying point for students, alumni, faculty,
and friends. Athletic events on campus bring alumni and friends back
to Santa Rosa and attract prospective students. Off campus athletic
events provide a vehicle to take the college's message to alumni and
friends throughout the state. Athletics can provide an ongoing link
for those who attend the college as well as for those who are just discovering
the campus and its community.
To make a contribution
to the SRJC Foundation in support of Athletics, please designate the
Bear Cub Athletic Trust on your donation form or in the memo field of your check.

In 1995, the Athletic
Director organized a committee to help implement this program.
Guidelines and criteria were established to determine how inductees
would be selected. These guidelines included that the athlete must be
10 years out of his/her attendance at SRJC; demonstrated athletic success
at SRJC and beyond, as well as post-SRJC leadership and citizenship.
Coaches must be retired a minimum of five years for consideration and
their career success, leadership, peer respect, years of service and
number of sports coached are used in their selection.
Committee members
are requesting your assistance in providing us with names of former
student athletes, coaches and community supporters you feel are worthy
of future induction. Please contact the SRJC Physical Education, Dance
and Athletics Department with your suggestions at (707) 527-4237.
