Q: Why would I need the Career Resources & Services Department? A: The Career Resources & Services Department can assist students and community members in choosing a major, developing career plans and making a career change. Resources include career counseling, career guidance classes, a comprehensive up-to-date career library, videos, employer information files, a computer lab and handouts. |

| Q: I know the general direction I want to take, but can the Career Career Resources & Services Department help me narrow down the possibilities? A: Assistance in making career decisions is available through individualized counseling sessions, career assessment, and computer assisted career guidance systems. |

| Q: I am returning to college to change careers. Can Career Services & Resources Department provide me information for the career I have in mind? A: The Career Center Services & Resources Department has an extensive up-to-date library on various occupations. Also available is information through using our computer programs: EUREKA and DISCOVER. |

Q: Is the SRJC Career Center only available to enrolled students? A: No, the Career Center is open to students and the general public. Some services are by appointment only, so be sure to call ahead: (707) 527-4941. |

| Q: I want to place a job for a student. How do I do that? A: Job Placement is through Student Employment - call (707) 527-4476. |

| Q: Do you charge for your services if I am not attending SRJC? A: There are no charges for the services provided to anyone through the Career Development Services. However, there is a nominal charge for computer print outs and for some of the Career Assessment Tests. |

| Q: Do I need an appointment for using the resources? A: Career Counseling requires an appointment. All other resources are available on a walk-in basis. Hours are 8 AM- 5 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday hours are: 8 AM- 7:00 PM(Summer and college vacation hours vary). |
