Tips for Attending Career Information Day

How to Prepare:

• Check the Career Center Web site for a list of participating programs. Participants will be posted in early April.
• Target occupations of interest and begin research about them. Two helpful sites are cacareercafe.com and cacareerzone.org.
• Use the SRJC Web site to learn more about Career Technical Education Programs including program outlines.
• Make a list of questions you would like to ask concerning the occupation, industry, what skills and education are needed, or job market demand. Visit the Career Center to pick up and "Informational Interview" handout, which provides a variety of questions from which to choose.
