Health Resources & Referrals Index

Sonoma County has many resources available for a broad assortment of needs
related to physical, mental and social health, including publicly funded
services, non-profit agencies, and private service organizations. The
best way to find a resource for your particular need is to first visit Sonoma
County’s Department of Human Services search engine. This site assists with finding services closest to your residence, and also includes
some resources outside of Sonoma County for special needs.
For your convenience, we have listed some of the most commonly needed Sonoma
County resources for SRJC students at the links below. Student Health
Services does not make any special arrangements with the following services.

This site lists Sonoma County agencies, as well as some agencies outside
Sonoma County, providing services addressing a broad range of needs.
You may search for particular services by city and zip code. To find
community clinic listings, use the keyword "Health Centers/Clinics".
Examples of the many other services outlined include dental services, support
groups, housing assistance, alcohol treatment programs, and victim

Online Screening for Mental Health

Password for entry is: SRJC
This site is an anonymous site where you may screen yourself for the following
possible problems: Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress,
Eating Disorder, and Alcohol Abuse. Referral information on where you
may seek help for a potential problem is also provided at the end of
each screening. SRJC Student Health Services provides funding
for SRJC student access to site.

Voluntary Health Insurance
The Community College League of California sponsors a special voluntary
health insurance program designed just for community college students
that carry a minimum of 6 credit units per semester. Preferred
Provider Organization (PPO) policy is provided by Somerton Insurance,
and benefits covered include basic hospitalization and medical care
services. The network of providers in Sonoma County is extensive.
