SRJC staff and faculty may utilize Student Health Services to obtain their required work related tuberculosis clearance, at no cost to the employee. They also may receive initial first aid for an acute work-related injury, with a referral to the Districts Occupational Health provider as indicated.
Classroom Presentations on a variety of health-related topics are provided upon faculty request. Clinicians, mental health counselors, and health promotion specialists from the department and health educators from community agencies are available to speak on various issues, such as substance abuse, sexual health, healthy relationships and other topics. To schedule a presentation, or if you are interested in having a topic addressed, contact our staff through e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. iPlease provide the following information: Your name, phone number and best time(s) to get in touch with you, topic, date, time, location, type of audience, estimated class size, and length of presentation desired. Please indicate if you would like a question and answer period scheduled pursuant to presentation.
Crisis Intervention Resource Team
Members of the Student Health Services staff are actively involved in the Crisis Intervention Resource Team (CIRT), assisting staff in intervention with stressed or disruptive students. Visit the Crisis Intervention Resource Team Web site at www.santarosa.edu/cirt/ for more information.
First Aid Kits
First Aid kits are maintained by Student Health Services in each department for staff and faculty to use in the event of an injury in class. If supplies are needed to replenish the kits, there is a Reorder Form in each kit and in our download forms section) that may be completed and sent to Student Health Services via intercampus mail.
