Student Psychological Services Support Groups

Free therapy and support groups are now forming at Student Psychological Services for SRJC students. Groups start when enough students have signed-up, unless noted otherwise. If you are interested in joining any groups, call 524-1595 or stop by Plover 559. All groups are supervised by Bert Epstein, Psy.D.

Relationship Issues? Improve Communication
Tuesdays: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Plover Hall, Room 540

Fidget to Focus: Organize Your Life
Tuesdays: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm, Plover Hall

This group is intended to help those with symptoms of ADD/ADHD cope with the demands of daily life, especially in academics. Skills addressed include improving organization, planning, and prioritizing.

Athletes in Transition
Wednesdays: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Plover Hall
Co-facilitated by Derek Vigon & Dayne Menardo
This group is for any current, former, or future athlete. We will examine self-identity and personal growth through conversations regarding transitions into and out of collegiate sport. These transitions can be overwhelming/anxiety provoking, and the group provides a supportive space for communication, reflection, and empowerment.

Mindfulness for Stress Reduction
Fridays: 11:00 am -12:00 pm
Co-facilitated by Alex Lapinski & Jen Yang Are your relationships as strong as you want them to be? This group will assist you in improving your relationships and friendships, allowing you to be a great resource both for yourself and others who seek your support. Learn skills to enhance your listening to others, connecting deeply, and giving and receiving emotional support.

For the Student Health 101 Orientation Issue, visit , Transitioning to a new place can be stressful and at times, overwhelming. We encourage all new students to check out this online resource, which provides an opportunity to become acquainted with the college environment and answer important questions.

AA Meetings on Campus

12-Step Groups are meeting on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 to 10:00AM, in Plover Hall, Room 540, on the Santa Rosa Campus. For more information about groups on campus, please call (707) 521-6944.
