Student Health Services is funded by a Health Fee charged to students enrolling in credit courses during registration. This fee is $16 for the fall and spring semester and $13 for the summer session (effective spring 2008).
The District currently allows waivers for students currently enrolled in Study Abroad programs, incarcerated students, students in qualified apprenticeship programs, and students that rely exclusively upon prayer for healing (form available in Admissions and Records). Patient Rights and Responsibilities
Student Health Services recognizes that all patients are individuals with unique health care needs. Care should be focused upon the patient's individual needs, and provided in a manner that is considerate and respectful of each patient's personal dignity. It is in recognition of these factors that Santa Rosa Junior College Student Health Service’s department affirms certain rights and responsibilities for its patients.
We are committed to keeping your information confidential. There are some specific exceptions to this and these are outlined in our Notification of Privacy Practices. Download a copy.

Student Health Services is established at Santa Rosa Junior College as legislated by Education Code 76322, and via Title 5 regulations that broadly outline services that may be provided, based on a public health model. The focus of services is on control of communicable diseases, short term clinical care for illnesses and injuries, and short term therapy and crisis intervention for mental health issues. Clinical care for chronic, long term conditions is not within the scope of direct services, though screening, health education, and counseling support and referrals to community service resources are provided. Charges to Students at Student Health Services
Following are the only charges currently applied within the Student Health Services department. These charges are approved by the Health Services Advisory Committee, and reviewed at least annually.

Select items are loaned to students receiving clinical care in Student Health Services, as appropriate for their care plan. These items, if returned to Student Health Services by the specified date, are provided free. If these items are not returned to Student Health Services by the specified date, charges are posted to the student’s college account, and the student will not be able to register for future classes until paid. Examples of items loaned include crutches, splints, books, etc.
