Welcome to Student Health Services
The mission of Student Health Services is to maintain
and improve the physical, mental, and social health of students at Santa Rosa Junior
College, and to strengthen and inspire the well-being of the entire college community,
towards supporting student success and life-long learning.
To accomplish our mission, Student Health Services has identified
the following Student Learning Outcome statements to guide our program services:
- Students will maintain and improve their health.
- Students
will demonstrate an understanding of individual health conditions, what prevention
approaches can be taken and appropriate treatment when needed.
- Students will demonstrate
personal responsibility by taking actions to improve their health, and the health
of others.
- Students will demonstrate skills in accessing and utilizing
healthcare resources on campus and in the community.
- Students will demonstrate
increased self-awareness, confidence and communication skills.
Our
Web site offers information about services we offer on the Santa Rosa and Petaluma
Campuses in our three offices, and upcoming activities sponsored by the department.
You will also find a link to our interactive, online health magazine Student Health
101 and an assortment of health educational information: sexual assault prevention,
immunizations, an online health reference guide, and more! You also have an ability
to screen yourself for mental health concerns, anonymously and online, through a
link on this site.
Information about meeting your SRJC program health requirements
is provided, and for your convenience, some of our department’s forms are available
for downloading. Listings of local community healthcare resources, as well as a web
link to a Sonoma County service agency search engine, may assist you in finding support
for a variety of needs. There is also a place to help you find health insurance providers.
We hope you find this Web site useful, and that you choose to
visit our offices to meet our friendly and professional staff.
We wish you good health!
