SRJC is offering two Smart Start English Courses this
Summer. Smart Start English 100 and 302 will provide students with a positive and
enjoyable first semester at the college. These courses are perfect for new students
who want to get a jump start on meeting their English requirements before the regular
fall semester begins. Make the most of your summer by beginning your college career
with success by focusing on one course in the relaxed more personal summer environment.

Career Fair 2013
Middle School and High School Students are invited to attend the upcoming Career
Night 2013, presented by the SRJC EOPS Department:
You
will have the opportunity to make a connection with professionals in many fields
including medical, legal, teaching, social work and much more! Please RSVP by calling
707-521-7879 or e-mail guser138@santarosa.edu.
A separate event, the Job & Internship
Fair (previously called the Career Fair) is scheduled for April 24th, but
is not an event intended for middle and high school field trips this year. The Job & Internship
Fair is a hiring and internship event provided for SRJC students and employers with
current job opportunities. Middle school and high school students should attend the
College Night 2013 on April 3rd for the opportunity to participate in a career-information
event at SRJC this spring.
Bring your students to SRJC for Placement testing in February and March to
beat the crowds!
Once your students have completed their online applications through
CCCApply, they're ready to take their placement tests. The SRJC Assessment and Student
Success Offices are interested in having school groups come to SRJC (the Santa Rosa
Campus or Petaluma Campus) to take group placement tests. This will help to alleviate
the resource constraints at the college and allow our staff to help students on college
campuses while serving the high school students.
If this is something you'd like
to set up for your school, or to set up a placement test at your school site, we
encourage you to contact the Assessment Office early at 527-4661 (Santa Rosa) or
778-3908 (Petaluma Campus).
Please go to www.santarosa.edu/app/placement/ for
more information about our Assessment Services.
