Santa Rosa Junior College Women's Water Polo finished its seventh season with another trip to the Northern California Championship Playoff Tournament. The team has advanced to post season play four years in a row and, in the last two years, they have ranked higher than any other team in SRJC's Varsity Water Polo 31 year history. Recently, the Lady Bear Cubs have finished in the top four in the north and in the top ten in the state. SRJC competes in the Big Seven Conference, and have produced more than 20 all conference players, seven All Northern California players, two conference MVP's, six All Americans, and over 20 All-Academic student athletes. This team is comprised of athletes who understand the meaning of commitment and effort. Coach McCormick recruits athletes who not only demonstrate a high level of team work, focus, and discipline in the pool and in the classroom, but who also like to have fun with their team and enjoy competition. The California Community College Water Polo Poll & Newsletter has named them the "up-and-coming team to watch in Northern California".
