With their dominate performance in the first round of the Big 8 Championship Tournament, the Cubs beat Modesto 6-1 in a a game that would advance them to NorCal Championship Tournament. That win sent SRJC to the playoffs for the 10th time in the last 12 years. Several of SRJC's 2012 players were honored for their efforts including: sophomore attacker Gabi Slavid, All Conference First Team and All NorCal Secont Team; freshman center Michelle Pollastrini, All Conferrence Second Team; and freshman Megan McGrath, All Conference Second Team, and Big 8 Tournament and NorCal Tournament teams. The Bear Cubs will return eight players in 2013. SRJC Women's Polo has produced
more than 35 all conference players, 25 All Northern California players,
two conference MVP's, 19 All Americans, and over 40 All-Academic
student athletes. The Cubs had back-to-back history-making seasons in 2008 and 2007 claiming the 2008 Northern California Championship Title, and had two consecutive final four appearances at the California Community College State Championship Tournament, culminating in a two year overall record of 47-15. The SRJC Women's Water Polo Team is comprised of athletes
who understand the meaning of commitment and effort. Coaches McCormick and Hennan
recruit athletes who not only demonstrate a high level of team work,
focus, and discipline in the pool and in the classroom, but who also
