sports team at SRJC. The 2008 team was also crowned the Big 8 Conference Champions as well. Led by Captains Jennifer Hale, Allie Niemiec and Priscilla Murphy, the Cubs boasted the deepest team in the state with the help of an amazingly strong freshman class of athletes. They team managed to qualify a record number of athletes to the state finals as well as win four of the five relays at Conference Champs, and both the 400 Medley and 800 Free Relays at the State Championships in Mission Viejo. Freshman Allie King and Heather Cramer both set new school records in the 100 freestyle and the 100 butterfly respectively. Head Coach Jill McCormick was named Coach of the Year for both the Big 8 Conference and the State of California. Congratulations to the 2008 team for a record breaking season.
