2004 Highlights
2004 CALIFORNIA STATE SWIM/DIVE CHAMPIONS
2004 BAY VALLEY CONFERENCE SWIM/DIVE CHAMPIONS
2004 was the most successful season in Santa Rosa Junior College Swimming & Diving History. Our men's team dual meet record was 10-3 and our women were 15-0 completing the season undefeated. As a team we took first and second in the Bay Valley Conference, the most competitive conference in the state this year; and we continued on to take first and second at the California Community College State Championship.
This was the third state title for the women ('79 and '83), but the first
state title in 21 years at the college. Our men's team second place state finish
was the best in history, their highest finish prior to this season was fourth in '83.
The women set 12 new school records, including all five relays, and the men
broke eight as well for a total of 20 new school marks. The men's and women's
teams combined for 14 All Conference Athletes, 17 Conference Champions, 14
All Americans, 13 State Champions, and 11 National Titles.
The highlights listed
below will give you a glimpse of the amazing athletes we were so fortunate
to work with this season, and we would like to thank all of the friends,
family, faculty, and alumni that supported us throughout this historical season.
Go Bear Cubs!
