Santa Rosa Junior College Women’s Softball competes in the Big 8 Conference, which is the highest rated conference in California.  The softball program is commited to academic success in the classroom and a competitive spirit on the field.  The program is highly respected and many players have gone on to successful softball careers at four-year universities.  Last year's team finished 23-23 and 4th in the Big 8 Conference.  With a strong group of returning players and a talented recruiting class of freshmen, this year's team looks to improve under first year Coach Pat Fitzgerald.  “We will play the game with intelligence, intensity and enthusiasm.”  The program produced a State Championship in 1982 and Conference Titles in 2002 and 2004.  The Bear Cubs look to be on track to compete with the best in the conference.
