2006 Highlights

The SRJC Varsity Men’s Swim and Dive Team finished a very successful season, placing fourth at the Big Seven Conference meet and then coming back less than a week later to take tenth overall at the State Championship Meet, making this the third consecutive year that the Cubs have had a top 10 finish. The Men’s Team, was led by sophomores Mark Wilson, Andrew Mora, and Nolan Irwin. Wilson, Mora, and freshman Ted Cotter and Thomas Dawson qualified all five relays to the state meet and were ranked as All American's in the 200 Free, 400 Free, 200 Medley, and 400 Medley relays. Irwin was named Big Seven Diver of the Year and placed second on the 3 Meter and fourth on the 1 Meter boards at state champs. Irwin also managed to break a 23 year old school record on the 3 Meter board set by Hall of Famer and former State Champion, Chris Berger. Finally, freshman Alexi Rosichan was a state qualifyer in the 200 and 400 IM's as well as in the 200 butterfly. Rosichan was named to the All American team in the 400 IM as was Irwin on both boards.
