The Santa Rosa Junior College Men's Swim and Dive Team took fifth at the Community College State Championship, after completing two of their
most successful seasons in Bear Cub swimming history. The Bear Cub
men broke
5 school records this season including a new record in the 400 Free Relay. The Santa Rosa Junior College Swim and Dive Team has
been in existence nearly 30 years including numerous state champions and
team titles. We compete in the California Community Colleges League. We belong
to the Big Seven Conference, giving us a great slate of dual meets, rivalries,
and a
Conference Championship Meet. We have a strong men's team that consistently attracts
swimmers and divers at the national level as well as athletes willing
to improve to that level. During our recent seasons we have placed
in the top three in our conference and the top five at state, including many
All American athletes. Our team consistently breaks records and continues
to compete at a top level against other teams in the state. Coach McCormick
recruits athletes who not only demonstrate a high level of teamwork,
focus, and discipline in the pool and in the classroom, but who also
like to have fun with their team and enjoy competition.
