"A Santa Rosa High School graduate, lee served in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1960 as an E4-Gun Fire Control Technician. He worked for Santa Rosa Shoe Company for 22 years before coming to SRJC in December of 1983." (Insider excerpt)
"SRJC's warehouse will be operating in a reduced service mode
" Lee's passing had quite an impact on our campus, and not just the physical plant.

| This is not our warehouse. It seems ours had more "stuff" in it, but Lee knew where everything was. |

What we remember about him and want to always remember him for:
- I remember with great fondness his rough/tough exterior which covered a gentle and warm man who worked hard at his job and was always willing to help in any way he could.
- Lee Seghezzi scared me to death when I first encountered him. He was always so gruff that I spent the first year of our association trying to figure out what I had done to antagonize him. Once I figured out that being thorny was just his way, I also discovered that he could be charmed with smiles, considerate gestures and humor, and after making friends with him I learned to really appreciate his deep and wide knowledge of this campus from the perspective of the Warehouseman. Getting a smile or a chuckle out of Lee was a high benchmark for any day, and I'm glad that we did laugh together a few times before he passed on.
- People might say he was a grumpy man...but I saw past that & he was kind to me.
- His bark was worse than his bite.
- Lee could be gruff but he had a heart of gold.
- Lee was a man with a gruff exterior but a heart of gold!
- He was the W.C. Fields of the warehouse and I still miss him

- In spite of his gruff exterior and manners - he was really a person who cared about SRJC.
- He was gruff but with a heart of gold that he didn't show to just anyone.
- He was always kind to me & I miss his humour.
- Lee was not a pushover and stood up for what he believed
- I'll miss his fishing stories.
- I'm sorry he never got to enjoy his retirement.
- I worked in Facilities Operations and interacted daily with Lee for about 6 years. He was very cranky and gruff on the outside and a marshmallow on the inside. He used to put a dove chocolate candy on my desk almost every day. He loved to fish and talk about his daughter.
- His rarely seen smile and his soft heart underneath his gruff exterior.
- I miss nagging him about smoking and watching him grumbling off to the warehouse muttering to himself. I also miss the dark dove candy on my desk for no reason....just friendship. It was fun to try to get him to smile....I miss that most.

- He came across as a grumpy old guy but could be a caring, soft hearted man.
3. When I worked 7:00-4:00 in Bailey Hall he would come by early in the morning to pick up his mail and he always stopped by my office
to say hello and chat for a few minutes. That is how I learned to know the other side of his personality.
- I remember that I loved to hear someone make Lee laugh because he always had such a gruffy personality.
