The Disability Resources Department at Santa Rosa Junior College provides people with disabilities equal access to a community college education through specialized instruction, disability related support services, and advocacy activities.

- Encourage and foster autonomy, independence, and responsibility in students with disabilities and challenge them to become successful self advocates.
- Promote the civil rights of students with disabilities and assist them in attaining their educational, vocational, and personal goals.
- Create a campus climate in which diverse learning styles are respected and equal access for students with disabilities can be realized.
- Educate the college community to the rights and needs of people with disabilities.
- Ensure that ethical and legal responsibilities to these students are upheld so that they may develop their competencies and contribute their unique talents and abilities to the greater community.
