1. Partnership For Excellence: Ed Buckley provided a brief update on P4E funds. There is an allocation of $25,000 in one time funds to assist in the development of study skills at the English 300 level. Funds have also been allocated to the supervising administrators in the further development of P4E projects.
2. 2000/01 Institutional Goals Development: Joe Friedman gave a final update on the revised 2000/01 Institutional Goals to which IPC agreed. Joe will provide copy to the co-chairs, who will, in turn, provide a set of the revised goals to the College community.
3. Staff Development and Training Issues: Jennifer Mann concluded her review of Staff Development and Training issues. A discussion centered around what defines staff development training fundable projects versus those which may be more appropriately be a departmental training manner. IPC chooses to take a broader definition given a good many staff and administrative training issues can be justified as appropriate for necessary development for institutional purposes. The larger issue for Staff Development appears to be whether the College should provide separate and additional funding for administrative and some classified training activities which may appear to be separate from Staff Development's mandate. For the near-term, the College will proceed as before.
