Minutes for February 22, 2001

Approval of Agenda/Minutes (Feb. 22^nd): approved.

Discussions:

Technology/Pedagogy Workshops/Seminars: Workshop is scheduled for the Fall PDA.

Brown Bag Update: Four BBL topics are scheduled for Wednesdays for the following dates:

March 21^st, Linda Heminway, "Using Web Graphics", Plover Library Rm.1,

March 28^th:, Russ Bowden, "Capturing Digital Images", Plover Library Rm.1,

April 4^th, Bill Stone, "Evolving CATE - Coming Attractions", Plover Library Rm.1,

April 11^th, Rich Abrahams, "Getting Connected via Broadband", Maggini Room 2711.

Flyers will be distributed to everyone's mailboxes and the Brown Bag dates will be mentioned in the INSIDER.

Printing Guidelines Article:

Might reappear in fall issue of the INSIDER. Also in the OAK LEAF.

Status of District Resource Project:

Preliminary discussions were held in an earlier meeting. In an another meeting scheduled in a couple of weeks, organizational issues, continued maintenance and updating the scope of the project will be discussed.

The possibility of getting a grant from the instructional resource is being studied.

"Build it, they will come" model is suggested for planning the extent of the project.

Instructional Computing Issues Update:

Russ has talked to Baba. The final draft copy of the survey is going to be ready by April 7^th and will be distributed during the Fall semester.

Announcements:

Next meeting is moved from April 19^th (spring break) to April 26^th. Same time, same place.
