It will include all the objectives and activities.

EDUCATIONAL PLANNING & COORDINATING COUNCIL

MINUTES of MARCH 9, 2000

3:15 - 5:00 PM

Senate Chambers

ATTENDING: Ed Buckley, Rosemary Darden, Stephanie Thompson, Reneé LoPilato, Kris Futrell, Karen Kellam, Ann O'Donnell

1. Update on computing network/support services for instructional projects--ETC representatives

The Educational Technology Committee has a subcommittee (Russ Bowden, Rich Abrahams, Gina Lord, Tim Bosma, Baba Adam, Kathy McGreevy, Gary Brown) which has developed a survey to document the relative need for a number of services in support of educational technology, particularly computers and networks. It is hoped that the college will be able to create a set of performance expectations for services offered, reliability, availability of services, user support for services, and timelines for restoration of broken services and installation of new services.

2. Accreditation plans from the 1990 Accreditation Self-Study

As it has in the past, EPCC reviewed the list of planning statements from the academic program section of our self-study. It appears that most of them are being addressed. The following items need to be reviewed as to our progress:

2. Work toward achievement of the goals in the Student Equity Plan.

6. Develop sources of income other than state revenues, such as grants and support from the community through the college's foundation. (EPCC especially wishes a report on our grant efforts.)

24. Review and evaluate staff development efforts at encouraging inclusion of diversity issues in the curriculum and identify new initiatives as needed.

27. Develop procedures for ensuring that all faculty follow the college policy of distributing a course syllabus containing the course requirements and the course grading policy.

3. Update on "academic integrity" proposal.

Kris Futrell reported that a task force is meeting and making progress on this.

4. IPC MEMO

Ed Buckley reported that IPC intends to develop closer, more formal links with EPCC, BAC, DFC, and what is now known as the "Enrollment Management Group," so as to improve communication and coordination in the college's planning efforts.
