2. Suggested Revisions for SRJC American Cultures Requirement - D.Smith, B.Collins, S.Fuller
Representatives of the Behavioral Sciences Department reviewed the history of multi-cultural curriculum developments and proposed a "merger" of existing ethnic studies and American culture courses. See written request/proposal.
Conclusion: route to Academic Senate for their recommendation as to how to proceed.
3. 1999 - 2000 calendar

4. Academic Senate September 15 meeting
Karen Guzman reported that at this meeting, there will be a vote on the "transfer" degree proposal. Handout distributed.
5. GE Task Force Recommendations - Kris Futrell
Kris distributed a calendar of presentations re the recommendations, including a presentation of models on October 6. Three models are proposed, none with additional models, all including a global educational perspective. The hope is that there will be extensive college-wide discussion. See "Comparison Data" handout, which Kris reviewed.
Question: Do we wish to continue differentiating between the AA and the AS degree? AAC will review and bring back a recommendation.
