2. P4E GOAL PROJECTIONS

Ed Buckley and Doug Garrison led a discussion of the College's projections for progress on state-mandated P4E goals.

3. TLC IN SPANISH

Karin Guzman reported that a committee is being set up to explore implementation of TLC in Spanish. This is seen as an important outreach effort for an underserved segment of our community.

4. SPRING BREAK TIMING

The Academic Senate requested that EPCC support a proposal to move the spring break closer to the center of the semester. After some discussion it was decided that Karin Guzman would bring EPCC's concerns regarding this plan back to the Senate Executive Committee.

5. ACCREDITATION PLANS

Buckley distributed an EPCC document from Fall 98, in which progress was noted on the educational plans enumerated in our accreditation self-study. He asked that we take some time this semester to check in again on that progress. (See attachment)

6. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

The Academic Senate has requested that EPCC develop a draft concerning academic honesty. Buckley is reviewing Board policies and agrees that we need one to deal with what appears to be a growing concern here and nationally. (See the US News & World Report article and excerpt from "The Fundamental Values of Academic Integrity" from the Center for Academic Integrity, distributed at the meeting.) Questions arose as to what we now have in our guidelines for student conduct. (See attachment)
