REGULAR AGENDA
1. Restructuring Vocational Education: (Workforce Training & Economic Development)
Stephanie Thompson reviewed the proposed restructuring prior to its submission to the Board of Trustees for action.
2. Proposed College Calendar/PDA Calendar, Spring 2003
Renee LoPilato addressed College Council and explained the proposed 2002-2003 college calendar. Jennifer Mann addressed the proposed Spring 2003 PDA as part of the calendar setting process. It was suggested and agreed that April 17 and 18 were best suited for Spring 2003 PDA given it is viewed the least disruptive period for faculty. The calendar was forwarded for Board Approval.
3. Policy Manual
Dianne Smith reviewed the status of Chapter 4 (Human Resources) and indicated there is the need to rewrite significant portions due to the effects of Proposition 209. Also, changes to SEIU and AFA contracts necessitate considerable updating as well.
4. Sabbatical Leave Committee
As noted, the Sabbatical Leave Committee has adjusted its membership by designating Victor Cummings, Assistant Dean to serve as the alternate for Terri Frongia during this year.
