–Dean Gooch thanked the student representatives for their outstanding participation.

–Dianne Smith commented on the suggestion to utilize CD, Web or other technology for the policy manual revisions.

1. Amendment to District Policy 2.5 regarding shared governance

The Academic Senate approved changes in the faculty section only, based on a signed agreement of 1991 between the Academic Senate and the Board of Trustees.

Status: College Council approved forwarding this to the Board in the summer (D.Smith)

2. Scheduling Template

Ed Buckley reported that the Academic Senate voted to recommend the proposed change in the template. The change will be implemented Spring 2001.

3. Hate Free task force

The constituents have appointed the following members:

Faculty appointed by Academic Senate--Leon Wakefield, Rhonda Findley, Karen Stanley and Frank Zwolinski;

Faculty appointed by AFA--Don Fischer, Joel Neuberg;

Management representatives--Robert Ethington, Nancy Moorhead, Mary Mueller, Sabrina Profeta-Meyer, Susan Quinn, Kris Shear, Deborah Wooten

Student representatives to be determined

Joel Gordon will chair this task force.
