MINUTES

Approved as submitted for December 2, 1999

ANNOUNCEMENTS

–Introductions around the table.

–Mini-orientation re College Council for new Vice President, Ron Root.

–Dianne Smith reported on January Board meeting, where the Board approved the AS Degree transfer degree; approved the management hiring policy (with addition of a student slot for confidential classified employees; approved the Transfer Plan; did not approve the proposal to allow the student Board representative to make and second motions.

 

REGULAR AGENDA

1. Revision to Policies and Procedures 4.16A, EMPLOYEE CONFLICT AND CRISIS

INTERVENTION

No discussion--Marie Thompson will be at the February 3 meeting for further discussion.

 

2. Hate Free College Issue.

Several managers and faculty have volunteered to work on this. Other constituent groups also have expressed considerable interest.

Status: A meeting will be set up to include interested parties, College Council members, and (if possible) the consultants from the Sonoma County Human Rights Commission.

 

3. Discussion of Privacy Policy and Procedures 4.21 PRIVACY AND ACCESS.

Input to date was reviewed. Legal Counsel will be consulted on some items.

College Council needs to bring recommendations to the Board before the end of the semester.

 

4. Amendment to District Policy 2.5 regarding the students' role in shared governance.
