Minutes

Present: Bob Burdo, Terry Lindley, Robert F. Agrella, Curt Groninga, Ricardo Navarrette, Jay Carpenter, Luann Campbell & Ron Root

Absent: Rick Call, Don Zumwalt, Ed Buckley

Closed Session: No reportable actions were taken.

Open Session:

1. Public Safety Training Center Fire Tower Project: It was decided to proceed with the Fire Tower project and have it located at its previously approved location at the Northeast corner of the drivers track area.

2. Press Box Update: The new press box should arrive on-campus in early August. A three-day installation project is anticipated

3. Shone Farm Projects: Steve Olson and Curt Groninga will meet soon with the Town of Windsor and Gallo to conclude possible agreement of construction of new a reservoir on the Shone Farm property. The Richard L. Thomas Classroom should be ready by the Fall semester.

4. Library Project Update: The Library preliminary drawings were approved by the State Public Works Board. The architects are working on the college portion of the working drawings. Submittal date for the working drawings to DSA is October 1, 2002. Estimated construction start date is Summer, 2003.

5. Analy Temps Demolition and Program Relocation Planning: Curt is developing a plan to relocate program occupants of the old Analy Temporaries to other college facilities by Winter Break, 2002-2003. He will provide the BFC with an on-going update.

6. Baker Remodel Update: The working drawings are due for completion by mid-August. It is anticipated the project will be bid in the early Fall.

7. Culinary Arts @ The Brickyard Project Update: Curt and Jay updated the BFC on the progress of the project. Construction time was lost due to the slowness in receiving demolition and building permits. Contractor is to provide College with a schedule pinpointing projected completion date.

8. Quinn Boiler Project Status Report: The project is complete.

9. Pioneer Mechanical Project: This project is under design with an anticipated installation date of mid-Spring 2003.

10. Classified Memorial Project Update: BFC reviewed the final proposed design and layout. Curt and Jay will have the signage fabricated per BFC directions.

11. Student Trustee Recognition Plaque (Pedroncelli Center): Curt and Jay will work with designer to improve existing Board of Trustee picture/plaque system and to tie new Student Trustee System into same style.

12. Land Acquisition Guidelines: Held over.

13. Architect Selection Guidelines: Held over.

14. Construction Updates: Reviewed individually.

15. Facilities Related Board Items:

a. Richard L. Thomas Classroom Project, Change Order #1: Reviewed as part of item #3.

16. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 3:42 p.m.
