Cell Phone Policy

The following rules will be enforced in all CIS Department classrooms and Labs. The
goal is to prevent cell phone usage from disturbing students and faculty. Repeated
violations of these rules will result in disciplinary action and/or loss of Lab privileges.

  1. No Ringing!
All cell phones must be turned off or placed in vibrate mode
when entering any lab or classroom.

  2. No Talking!
No phone calls may be made or accepted while in any lab or
classroom. Students must step outside before initiating phone
calls or answering their phone. There will be no exceptions to this
policy! Students expecting calls will have to find alternate ways of
being contacted while working in lab facilities.

  3. Enforcement
Students who infringe on cell phone policy will be cautioned that
their lab privileges will be in jeopardy if they are not able to comply.
On a second infraction, the student will be given a final warning,
their name will be taken and an incident report will be submitted.
Any further infraction will lead to the automatic loss of
    lab privileges.
