Computer Basics Classes

A Good Place to Start

CIS offers several introductory courses for the novice with little or no computer experience. They include:

  • CIS 101A Intro to the PC
  • CIS 101B Personal Computer Concepts and Practice
  • CIS 105A Introduction to Macintosh
  • CIS 105B More Introduction to Macintosh

Students with limited computer experience may want to consider CIS 76 Software Sampler, which combines introductory concepts with a survey of Microsoft Office.

Transfer students will be interested in CIS 5 Computer Literacy and CIS 66 Management Information Systems.
