XML Content Developer Certification

XML certification is based on a thorough knowledge of HTML and XML. The program is an introduction to XML technology from authoring XML documents to applying XML and some of its many complementary technologies to business environments.

XML content developers produce Web pages which include these concepts: structuring data with

XML; validating that data with data type definitions (DTDs) and schemas; rendering data stored as XML documents in a browser; transforming XML documents with the XML Stylesheet Language (XSL and XSLT); referencing XML via the document object model (DOM) and Xpath.

An XML content developer is the person who creates the majority of the Web pages which make up a site.

They are responsible for taking the template created by the designer, and understanding and modifying the designers code so it can be duplicated to produce the site.

Students will be expected to design Web sites to meet the standards of clients from the community. A successful XML content developer exhibits a strong work ethic, perfectionists standard, patience, strong people skills and shows attention to detail.

Job titles include - Web Production Specialist, Web Developer, Internet Developer, XML Coder, XML Guru.
