CIS department offers classes designed
to introduce the student to operating
systems and telecommunications as
well as industry specific courses
for the serious networking professional.
Home users will find courses like
CIS 50.31 Understanding your Macintosh
and CIS 50.91 Exploring Microsoft
Windows useful for day-to-day management
skills. CIS 78.11 Introduction to
Telecommunications is a core course
for web certificate students and
is an introductory course in telecommunications
theory.
Students interested in a serious
study of networking will find
coursework in Windows NT/2000,
UNIX/Linux, and Cisco. CIS also
offers a series of networking
certificates that map to industry
exams.
