Adobe Illustrator Certification
This certificate provides instruction in the vector graphic program, Adobe Illustrator. The program of study helps prepare the student for the Adobe Illustrator ACE industry exam, and will enhance the student's value in the job market. The skills are applicable to occupations involving printed and web media.

Illustrator is the most widely used graphics program to create vector graphics for packaging and design for both print and web. It is used by graphic artists, illustrators, web designers and desktop publishers.

Although this is not a career certificate, this award will enhance the recipient's value in the job market. Desktop publishing is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor as one of the fastest growing occupations in the years 2000-2010 and requires only a Postsecondary vocational award. In addition to the preparation provided by this certificate, desktop publishers should also have a good understanding of design, layout, typography, and color. A good desktop publisher is detail oriented and creative.

Email the certificate coordinator for further information.
