Adobe
Application Specialist Certification
This certificate provides a comprehensive overview of the Adobe Creative Suite of graphics and desktop
publishing software. The program includes study of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.
It supports individuals applying for new jobs as well as those currently employed seeking to enhance
existing skills.
Although this is not a career certificate, this award will enhance the recipient's value in the job market.
Desktop publishing is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor as one of the fastest growing occupations
in the years 2000-2010 and requires only a Postsecondary vocational award. In addition to
the preparation provided by this certificate, desktop publishers should also have a good understanding
of design, layout, typography, and color. A good desktop publisher is detail oriented and creative.
