Santa Rosa Junior College
and the
Child Development Training Consortium
The Child Development Department at SRJC is part of the statewide
Child Development Training Consortium. The Consortium provides
cost-effective training to eligible personnel employed by
child development programs to assist them in meeting the requirements
of the Child Development Permit Matrix.
This means that our college receives funds to reimburse eligibile
students for costs associated with enrollment fees, health
services fees, and parking fees. We also provide a book loan
program to help students keep text book costs down.
The state program also provides financial assistance in obtaining
Child Development permits. To contact the state office about
this and other Consortium
activities call (209) 572-6080.
Who is eligible?
Employees of Child Development programs and Family Child
Care providers are eligible to participate in the training
offered by our campus. However, priorities are as follows:
- Employees working in child care programs receiving state
or federal funds directly through contract with CDE/CDD.
- Employees working in child care programs not receiving
state or federal funds directly through a contract with
CDE/CDD.
- Family Child Care Providers
In order to participate in the Consortium students must fill
out a Participant Profile at the beginning of each semester
available from the Child Development Department office. The
SRJC Consortium Coordinator is Jennifer Allen at 522-2616.
