Facts About the SRJC 2001 Fact Book

BACKGROUND

In August 2000, Jeanne Johnson (SRJC Research Analyst) began work to create the first ever Fact Book for the Sonoma County Junior College District. The Fact Book includes a wealth of information about our community, students and employees, as well as other information pertinent to program planning.

PRESENTATIONS

On November 8 and 9, the Office of Institutional Research will present the Fact Book at three campus wide forums—two at the Santa Rosa campus and one at the Petaluma campus. Information promoting the forums, which invited faculty and staff to attend, was e-mailed to all district employees. The Santa Rosa campus forums are Thursday, November 8 from 3:00 – 4:30 in Lark 2009, and Friday, November 9 from 10:00 – 11:30 in Lark 2009. The Petaluma campus forum is Thursday November 8 from 10:30 – noon in the Mahoney Library Conference Room.

DISTRIBUTION

The distribution list for hard copies of the Fact Book includes all Deans (including Assistant and Associate), Directors, Component Administrators, Senate Presidents, the Student Body President, and both Plover and Mahoney Libraries. A few other individuals who were highly involved with creating the Fact Book will also receive a copy. In addition, hard copies can be ordered at cost through the Office of Institutional Research. Orders are due by December 1.

The CD version of the Fact Book is available gratis from the Office of Institutional Research.

Computing Services is making the Fact Book available on-line. The URL will be distributed when the project is complete.

FEEDBACK

As this is the first Fact Book developed for the district, we would like to solicit feedback to inform our process before we begin developing the second annual Fact Book. Comments regarding particularly useful information in the Fact Book, as well as suggestions for improvement, can be forwarded to the Office of Institutional Research.
