RESOLUTION OF THE

SONOMA COUNTY JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT

TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA AND THE SONOMA COUNTY JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT TO CONVEY DISTRICT-OWNED PROPERTY FROM SONOMA COUNTY JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT TO THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA

WHEREAS, the Sonoma County Junior College District ("District") is the owner of record of certain real property situated on South Wright Road, Santa Rosa, Assessor Parcel No. 035-141-012 (a portion of the old Navy Base); and

WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa is proposing to acquire certain property interests (approximately 7,820 square feet), in connection with the City of Santa Rosa's South Wright Road Pedestrian Path Improvements Project, and

WHEREAS, a portion of the District's property is within the project area, and

WHEREAS, the property interest the City of Santa Rosa wishes to acquire consists of a Permanent Easement which will allow the project contractor to construct the proposed pedestrian path along the road frontage, and

WHEREAS, the District has rights, title and interest in the aforementioned property described in a quit claim deed recorded under document No. H56237, Sonoma County Records, and

WHEREAS, it would be to the mutual benefit of both the District and the City of Santa Rosa as this project is intended to improve safety conditions for pedestrian traffic which includes a number of school age children, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Sonoma County Junior College District shall execute a Right of Way Agreement and Easement Deed for the South Wright Road Pedestrian Pathway along the frontage of Sonoma County Junior College's property, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City of Santa Rosa shall accept the land as described in Exhibit "A" that is conveyed to it by the Sonoma County Junior College District, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board gives Vice President of Business Services the authority to sign and record the South Wright Road Pedestrian Pathway Right of Way Agreement and Easement Deed on behalf of the Sonoma County Junior College District and the State of California.
