BACKGROUND

Change Order #6 addresses a series of minor adjustments to the project:

Item 6.1: Remove concrete slab at existing building. $3,333.00

Reason: Slab elevation in conflict with new grades.

Item 6.2: Provide power to electric strikes at Doors G12 and G16. $1,593.00

Reason: Required power not indicated on drawings.

Item 6.3: Revise grades around existing building. $1,647.00

Reason: Existing building elevation was higher than as-built drawings

Indicated.

Item 6.4: Add three (3) ceiling access panels in Building D. $ 540.00

Reason: Mechanical ductwork blocked access to areas of the attic.

The increase for Change order #6 is $7,113.00.00. Combined with the preceding five (5) change orders, the total increase in the contract is $58,315.00 or five-tenths of one percent (.5%).

BUDGET IMPACT

$6,401.70 State of California (90%)

$ 711.30 Capital Projects Fund 41 (10%)

 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #6, in the amount of $7,113.00, for the Public Safety Training Center At Windsor Construction Project, for a revised contract price of $11,842,315.00.
