BACKGROUND

The purpose of this project is to replace the existing Press Box on the west side of Bailey Field and install a new one on the east side. Included in the multi-phased project is the construction and installation of the press box, replacement and installation of a new wireless scoreboard and upgrade of disabled access to bleachers and restroom facilities. The Press Box portion of this project is to be funded primarily by the Bear Cub Trust. Total estimated project cost is $250,000.00. Bids for the first two portions (Press Box facility and wireless scoreboard) will be opened by June 4^th.

The Press Box facility portion (Phase I) is estimated to be $100,000.00. The Bear Cub Trust contribution to the Phase I Bertolini Press Box will be $60,000.00.

The wireless scoreboard portion will be approximately $7,000.00 and will be funded by the Capital Projects account.

As the results of the various bids are received they will be provided to the Board for review and approval. The budget impact shows total project estimated costs and shares.
